Pool Closing

Professional Pool Closing

Don’t take chances on damaging your pool with improper winterization! We ensure your lines and pool equipment are properly winterized and protected from freeze damage.

When we close your pool:

  • We HIGHLY recommend taking a water sample into our store the week before your scheduled closing week to ensure the water is properly balanced. WE CANNOT BALANCE A POOL AT THE CLOSING
  • Once you know the pool is in balance you can purchase a winter kit from our store and add the chemicals prior to the closing visit, have the chemicals poolside for our tech to add when closing or you can choose to have us use all closing chemicals from the truck when the tech arrives for the closing.
  • We are raising the chlorine, PH & Alkalinity at the closing and will add algicide and an enzymatic surfactant. We cannot correct improper chemistry levels as the pool will not be running to circulate the chemicals and often repeat treatments are needed when a pool is not in balance.
  • The water level should be at normal operating level. Unless you have a gunite/concrete or stainless steel pool with tile. The water should be just below the tile in this case.
  • Prior to the techs arrival all chemicals for the closing, plugs for the returns and gizmo for the skimmer should be poolside in an obvious location.
  • If you choose for us to put your cover on, that should be poolside along with a cover pump, extension cord and garden hose, if one is used. If we are putting a safety cover on, all springs should be on the cover and anchors still in the deck. If you have removed your springs and/or anchors there is an additional fee.

We also offer professionally-installed custom made safety covers for in-ground pools.
